I have been thinking that Facebook should have some protection for minors using it to vent or meet people .  My granddaughter at age 15 had a “boyfriend who was nineteen but ‘looked 34’?”  Her mother finally put a stop to it and things became very ugly. I would not let her be a friend due to the comments she and her friends made-I am not a prude and have a colorful vocabulary as well but I prefer to keep myself in check.  It was embarrassing to see the things they wrote.  In some cases like hers she retired to her room and did not interact with the family but basically lived in cyber space until mom took the computer/internet away.
